Another GOP Betrayal

The GOP's Report on Joe Biden's crimes is finally released - when it no longer matters

Amidst a host of self congratulatory fanfare, the House GOP released their long awaited Report of the Impeachment Inquiry of Joe Biden. GOP members of the various committees that produced the report issued self-promoting tweets about their findings on the eve of Biden's speech before the DNC convention.

Maddeningly, they completely ignore the fact that Biden had already been deposed over a month ago in a DNC leadership led coup.

We also find it incredibly convenient that the timing of this House GOP Report aligns perfectly with the DNC's desire to quietly and implicitly threaten Joe Biden with exposure of his crimes - thereby preventing him from reacting publicly to his dethroning - or Kamala's Coronation.

The DOJ has been doing exactly this with their recent court filings. Incredibly, these filings by the DOJ prove that Hunter was an unregistered foreign agent while simultaneously stating they won't charge him for it. For now. It seems obvious to us that the timing of these filings was to fire a very direct warning shot over the bow of Joe Biden’s ship. Don’t get any ideas. We have the goods on you and your family.

The 291-page House document contains a host of details on the Biden family crimes. But it’s also a rehash of information that we knew about more than a year ago. We read through much of the report this morning and found nothing that we didn't already know or hadn’t written about multiple times at least a year ago.

There’s also a number of disturbing aspects that aren’t even covered in the Report - including the very credible allegations of money laundering that came from Latvia (more here) - or Joe Biden’s later push for the closure of Privat Bank where those laundered funds were alleged to have flowed to other holding companies.

On February 18, 2016 - while Joe Biden was actively pushing for Shokin’s removal - authorities in Latvia flagged a series of ‘suspicious’ financial transactions linked to Hunter, Devon and two other individuals involved with Burisma.

It was later reported that “a series of loan payments totaling about $16.6 million that were routed from companies in Belize and the United Kingdom to Burisma through Ukraine’s PrivatBank between 2012 and 2015.” Latvian officials claimed that a portion of these funds were transferred to Hunter, Devon and the two unnamed individuals - one of whom was a US citizen.

Joe Biden later pushed for PrivatBank's closure in November 2016 - and appeared to threaten Poroshenko’s well-being in the process.

Despite requests for assistance, a Latvian official said “his government received no criminal evidence from Ukraine and thus took no further action on the investigation.” It seems impossible that the FBI, with its presence within Ukraine’s anti-corruption offices, was not aware of these transactions - along with everything else the Bidens were doing.

Even with these glaring omissions, there's absolutely no excuse for the GOP to have sat on the report until now. And from a practical point of view, the GOP report is totally useless - rendered almost meaningless by Joe Biden's ouster from any real position of power by the DNC.

Now, of course, the GOP will tell you that they're issuing this report just in time for Biden's address at the DNC Convention. They'll tell you that it was their intention all along to highlight Biden corruption just as he was speaking to the assembled Democratic voters. 

It's all lies. The GOP waited - very intentionally - to issue this report when it no longer mattered - when there was nothing to be done. Instead, they allowed Biden to continue his destruction of our country as they sat idly by doing nothing to obstruct him. They enabled Joe Biden.

Remember, this is the same party that trampled the wishes of their voters as they fell over themselves in a frantic push to send $200 Billion of our taxpayer money to Ukraine. This is the same party that rushed to pass reauthorization of FISA Section 702 - and they actively lied to the American public in order to do it. This is the same GOP whose leadership betrayed us with a Fake Border Bill that codified border crossings and provided nearly $4 billion in funding for the UN-related NGOs that have been driving illegals into our country.

This is the same GOP that actively pushed every spending bill Biden wanted. This is the same GOP that increased the debt ceiling - bringing us to more than $35 Trillion in national debt. This is the same GOP that refused to draw a hard line during budget negotiations or force a shutdown of our government to obtain meaningful concessions of any kind. 

But when it came to doing anything to halt the very real destruction of our country, the GOP waited more than 3-1/2 years to publish their findings on Biden Corruption. And they did so only after Biden was already effectively removed from power - and at a time when Congress is in the middle of a lengthy recess. It’s all a bad joke.

Jim Jordan, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, issued a triumphant tweet, claiming that “Our impeachment inquiry shows conclusively that Joe Biden abused his public office for the private financial benefit of the Biden family and Biden business associates. The facts speak for themselves, and Democrats can no longer stretch the truth to cover for President Biden.” 

What in the actual hell?? Jordan completely ignores that it was Democrats themselves that implemented a coup to remove Joe Biden from the presidential race - and effectively remove him from acting as our current president. Joe Biden's gone. He's nothing. He's a political afterthought at this point. But GOP leaders proudly patted themselves on the back for issuing a report that should have been issued over a year ago. It's beyond maddening.

Jordan continued his self-congratulations, noting that “As Democrats celebrate Joe Biden and crown Kamala Harris as his heir apparent this week, Americans should remember the reality of the Biden-Harris Administration: crime, chaos, and corruption.”

Well guess what? We already know all of this. We've written about everything in the report for the last 3 1/2 years while the GOP did nothing to stop the destruction of our country. It's a slap in the face to all conservative voters. And it's a very real demonstration that the GOP is effectively working with the DNC. One big self-aligned DC-UniParty.

The conclusion of the committee's report is found on the final page. Just three short paragraphs in length. The last paragraph is perhaps the most infuriating:

To date, the testimony and documents received by the Committees show President Biden knew about, participated in, and benefited from his family’s influence peddling conspiracy. While President Biden to date has avoided accountability for his corruption, the Committees are dedicated to ensuring that political influence is not for sale and that those entrusted to hold public office are committed only to promoting the country’s interests, not their own. As both president and vice president, Joe Biden has abused his office of public trust, putting his family’s financial interests above the interests of the American people. Although the Committees’ fact-finding is ongoing amid President Biden’s obstruction, the evidence uncovered in the impeachment inquiry to date already amounts to impeachable conduct. The Committees present this information to the House of Representatives for its evaluation and consideration of appropriate next steps.

Spoiler Alert: There will be no next steps. It's all a useless political show. Nothing is going to happen to Joe Biden. Nothing is going to be done to stop the endemic corruption in DC. Biden is going to waltz off into the sunset, probably after pardoning his son Hunter Biden. 

If you're getting the sense that we are deeply angry, you would be correct. To us, this is nothing more than the final sign that we don't have representation, that we don't have a party that actually cares or even pretends to work on behalf of its voters.

There’s another worrisome element to all of this as well. The few people within the FBI who were brave enough to come forward are once again being highlighted by the House Report. Exposed might be a better term. As Tristan Leavitt, a lawyer for several crucial FBI whistleblowers notes, “A quick Ctrl+F [of the House Report] shows me 121 mentions of [FBI Whistleblowers] Shapley and 113 mentions of Ziegler.”

Leavitt continues: “Unfortunately, reminding the Bidens that the IRS whistleblowers were key to the opening of the impeachment inquiry will probably result in redoubled retaliation against SSA Shapley and SA Ziegler. We are still working to protect them from Hunter Biden's lawsuit falsely accusing them of committing a crime by making protected disclosures of Biden's tax information to Congress.”

Leavitt is right to be angry. The GOP finally gets around to issuing their report on Biden family corruption at a convenient point where it no longer matters. But their report highlights the actions of the FBI whistleblowers repeatedly. In other words, Biden skates away with no consequences while the whistleblowers are hung out to dry.

The claims of the FBI whistleblowers have long-been validated. Jason Foster, the Founder of Empower Oversight (they represent the FBI whistleblowers) sent a detailed thread noting proof of their claims - highlighting the manner in which Joe Biden and his family received special treatment from the FBI, DOJ and IRS. But of course, none of this is surprising. Again, we’ve known all of this for years.

If we manage to collect ourselves, we may run through some of the more detailed findings of the report in some future post but the primary conclusions are nothing that any long-time reader or anyone paying the slightest bit of attention didn’t already know.

Biden used his vice-presidency to generate business opportunities for Hunter and his business partners’ foreign business dealings. The Biden family “leveraged Joe Biden’s positions of public trust to obtain over $8 million in loans from Democratic benefactors” - most of which have not been paid back. Both the DOJ and the FBI afforded special treatment to Hunter Biden - and the Biden White House has impeded any real oversight or investigations.

These activities have enriched Joe Biden and his family to the tune of at least “$27 million from foreign individuals or entities.” The actual number is likely much higher. As a matter of habit, the Biden family used shell companies - including those of business associates - to obscure the source of those funds from scrutiny.

We’ve already noted the very curious timing of this report’s release - coming at a moment that reinforces the implicit threats to the Biden family that are already being made by the DOJ in advance of the DNC’s coronation of Kamala.

But we also find it notable that the GOP (and their report) has steadfastly refused to look at Obama's role in Joe Biden’s crimes. Are we to believe Obama simply had no idea what Biden was doing in Ukraine, China, Romania and elsewhere? Of course this is total nonsense. Obama knew exactly what Biden was doing. Particularly since Biden involved numerous federal agencies - including the DOJ and the State Department.

We’ve written about this aspect before and we find it utterly implausible that many of Obama’s top officials - Victoria Nuland, Geoffrey Pyatt, Amos Hochstein, George Kent and others - knew exactly what Biden was up to but Obama did not. As we’ve stated repeatedly, it’s our belief that RussiaGate was about protecting Obama from the crimes that Joe Biden committed. Obama knew. And the GOP has very conspicuously refused to address this even larger question.

It’s an exclusive club. And we are most definitely not invited.
